We received your inquiry regarding the large overhead crane with a rated load of 30 tons, as the lifespan of the electromagnetic brake linings (brake shoes) that control the drive and stop is short, leading to frequent replacements. Issues: 1. In the past, asbestos-containing linings were used, but after switching to non-asbestos resin-type linings, the lifespan has decreased. 2. The frequency of replacements is high, and the effort involved in replacing them is considerable. 3. Since the work is at a height, we would like to reduce the frequency of replacements for safety reasons.
